The U67 control is specifically designed for electronic kettle applications utilising conventional concealed heaters. The control features two levels of protection against boiling dry or accidental dry switch on of the appliance. The U67 features 5 poles which interface with the P76 cordless system, and integrates a sensor which can send temperature information from the kettle via the additional poles to the PCBA which is mounted in the cordless base. This arrangement allows for complete design freedom for the appliance designer as no allowance needs to be made for ducting or directing of steam, or for the location and pivoting of trip levers and actuators as all the MMI controls are kept within the cordless base.
