The Strix U44 control, when matched to a Strix compatible stainless steel or aluminium die cast heater, becomes an integrated system for consistently controlling the coffee brewing cycle in electric Moka makers. Switching the trip lever to the on position initiates the cycle, and when the cycle is complete the trip lever moves to the off position and neon light goes out indicating the coffee is ready to be served. The control will not re-set automatically. The U44 has 2 levels of safety protection, heater dry boil, which also operates the trip lever and secondary integrated thermal fuse, and is designed to interface directly with the standard Strix P72 cordless system. The installation has been optimised for single screw fixing, and has an integrated “lift off switch off” mechanism.
