The Strix U1830 series of controls is the most
popular multi-functional control for protection
of concealed heating element appliances.
Designed for mounting directly onto the underside of conventional
concealed heaters it incorporates the upper part of the Strix P72 cordless system allowing 360º rotation.
All variants feature integrated steam detection/switch off, and two level, two pole,
non-cycling dry protection against boiling dry or accidental dry switch on of the appliance.
This system is designed to be “trip free”.
Most variants also feature the optional “lift-off-switch-off” (LOSO) mechanism,
which automatically trips the trip lever to the off position when the appliance is lifted off the
cordless base thereby increasing safety, and saving energy by preventing the appliance from being
returned to its base when dry.
