STRIX took action against 21 companies showing goods with counterfeit STRIX controls at the recent Domotechnica exhibition in Cologne

Thirty-six kettles - fitted with controls made in China by Ketsol, Liang Ji, Jia Tai and Hi Sun - were removed from display because they infringed four STRIX patents.

STRIX said it was grateful for the co-operation of Essen Customs Authority for its support in its control of products entered for the Domotechnica 2006 fair.

STRIX recently won two patent actions against another Chinese manufacturer Sunlight. Sunlight is appealing the judgement, but STRIX said it is confident the appeal court in China will uphold the decision that requires Sunlight to stop making the infringing products and pay STRIX damages and legal costs.
