On Monday 17th February three members of staff from STRIX will be
attending a reception at Buckingham Palace given by H.M. The Queen in
recognition of STRIX achieving its fourth Queen's Award for enterprise in
2002 for International Trade.
Those attending will be:

STRIX was established in 1981 and manufactures controls for the domestic
appliance industry, essentially kettles, jugs and other water boiling
appliances and it sells them to more than 40 countries worldwide. In
three years STRIX has increased its oversees earnings by some 50%,
exported well over £100 million worth of its products; and provided
work for more than 350 people in the Isle of Man. It is cited
as having demonstrated impressive adaptability and innovation in both
its products and marketing approach and has achieved a spectacular 70% share
of the Worldwide market, it proudly estimates that its products are used
one billion times every day for some 20% of the World's population.
