An innovative idea from Birmingham based Team International in
conjunction with STRIX has enabled distributors and consumers alike
to have full confidence in their new kettles.
All Team kettles that specify the award winning STRIX
control systems carry a hologram label in a prominent
position on the packaging. The hologram means "STRIX
inside", and confirms that the kettle complies fully
with British and international safety standards. The
hologram label is virtually un-copyable and distribution
of the label is strictly controlled by STRIX so that
only authorised manufacturers can use them.
Managing Director Tony Goldenfeld told ERT: "It's
about time positive action was taken by brand
owners to assure the trade and the buying public
that quality and design and safety are just as
important as the traditional commercial battleground
of price. The market will be weakened by counterfeit
and illegal controls from unknown manufacturers.
We don't mind competition, but it must be on a
level playing field".
It also guarantees that distribution and availability
will not be affected by action taken by STRIX
against dangerous and illegal counterfeit controllers.
The Team range of cordless includes the WK 99
series of 2-litre kettles and the new range for
2003, the WK 32 and WK 64 series - all featuring
twin gauges, locking lid, built-in ScaleTrap filter,
1.7-litre capacity - and available from April
onwards. Team International's range includes
kettles, toasters, irons, bread-makers, fryers,
and other kitchen appliances.
