2000 – Strix gained its third Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation for the U-series. Montagu Private Equity made an investment in Strix
2001 – Strix received its fourth Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade
2002 – Strix launched the U34, the first control for electric moka makers
2003 – Strix produced its 500 millionth control. The U44 was launched. This eventually superseded the U34 in 2006
2005 – ABN AMRO took a majority stake in Strix. The brand of Aqua Optima water filters was launched globally
2006 – Eddie Davies retired as Executive Chairman. Philip Cushing took over as Non Executive Chairman. The first ever TV campaign for Aqua Optima was aired in the UK. Aqua Optima launched its Double Life Water Filter
